Minnetrista is one of our farther-out service areas, but the work there tends to be the kind we do well — substantial homes on acreage where the spec matters more than the speed. Custom-sized window orders, careful flashing work on log and timber-frame homes, full exterior packages that include windows, doors, siding, and trim.
Minnetrista's housing stock is dominated by acreage properties west of Lake Minnetonka. Lake-frontage homes range from older cottages to newer estate properties; inland acreage runs to substantial custom homes on multi-acre lots. The wind exposure off the lake and the mix of architectural styles (prairie, lake, modern farmhouse) means we spec windows individually rather than as a package.
We've worked enough Minnetrista projects to know which neighborhoods deal with which microclimates — some lake-adjacent properties get more wind-driven rain than the local forecast would suggest, and we spec window flashing accordingly.
Minnetrista is about 50 minutes from our Otsego shop. We minimize travel cost by coordinating Minnetrista work with our Wayzata, Excelsior, and Orono jobs. For larger projects we sometimes stage materials on-site to reduce daily travel time.
