Damage assessment
Full roof inspection for hail strikes, wind damage to shingles and flashing, and impact damage to vents, gutters, and adjacent surfaces. Photos and notes documented.
Free hail and wind damage inspections, detailed photo documentation, and qualified repair work. We provide the documentation; you and your insurance handle the coverage decision.
Most storm damage in our area comes from hail. The diagnostic-level damage is often only visible from on the roof — granule loss, fractured shingle mats, dented vents, impact marks on flashings. After a major hail event, we offer free roof inspections so you can know what's actually up there before deciding what to do next.
We document the damage with photos and a written summary. We don't tell you what your insurance will or won't cover, and we don't act as a public adjuster — that's a separate licensed role. What we do is provide clear documentation you can share with your insurer, complete the qualified repair work once it's approved, and answer technical questions about the scope or materials when your adjuster needs them.
Every project quote is itemized. Here's what tends to be in scope on a typical project.
Full roof inspection for hail strikes, wind damage to shingles and flashing, and impact damage to vents, gutters, and adjacent surfaces. Photos and notes documented.
Detailed report with photo evidence and the scope of repair we'd recommend. Provided to you to share with your insurer if you choose to notify them.
If your adjuster has technical questions during their inspection, we're available to walk them through what we documented and answer scope or pricing questions.
Once your insurance has approved the work, we complete the qualified repair — partial or full roof replacement, gutter repair, flashing renewal.
Sometimes additional damage is found once work is underway. We document anything new and provide updated paperwork so it can be submitted for supplemental review.
Completed work documented, manufacturer warranties registered, and workmanship warranty on our installation provided in writing.
After a hail storm damaged every window on the home, we worked with the homeowner and their insurance company to get the full replacement approved. Twenty-plus Thermo-Tech energy-efficient windows installed in three working days.
Visible signs include dents on vents or gutters, granule loss in gutters or downspout exits, and small dark spots on shingles where granules have been knocked off. The diagnostic-level damage is often only visible from on the roof — we offer free inspections after major storms so you can see what's actually there.
Either works. If you'd like a roof inspection first to see what's actually damaged, we can do that free of charge. Whether to notify your insurer is your call — we won't make that decision for you, but the photo documentation we provide is the same either way.
No — we're a contractor, not a public adjuster. We document damage, provide written reports, and answer technical questions your adjuster might have, but the coverage discussion is between you and your insurance carrier. We complete the repair work once you and your insurer have decided how to proceed.
We've documented damage for homeowners insured by most major carriers operating in Minnesota. Our role is the same regardless of carrier: provide accurate documentation of what's there. We don't have preferred-vendor arrangements with any insurer.
