Site evaluation & planning
Site survey, soil conditions, access, drainage, utility availability, and code review. We identify any prep work needed before the structural package can be ordered.
Pre-engineered steel buildings for retail, agricultural, and commercial use. From site prep and foundation through erection and finish — one contractor through the whole build.
Pre-engineered steel buildings have become the default for a lot of commercial and agricultural construction — they go up faster than conventional builds, span larger spaces without interior columns, and the structural package is engineered before the first piece arrives on site. What separates a good steel-building contractor from a bad one is everything around the package: site prep, foundation, anchor placement, fit-out, and finishing.
We handle steel-building projects end-to-end — site evaluation and prep, engineered foundation work, anchor bolt placement to manufacturer spec, erection of the structural package, and exterior and interior fit-out. Retail storefronts, agricultural outbuildings, equipment storage, light commercial — we'll scope to the use case and the budget, with the same itemized written estimates and clean handoff we bring to residential work.
Every project quote is itemized. Here's what tends to be in scope on a typical project.

Foundation engineered to the building specs and site conditions. Footings, slab, and anchor bolts placed to manufacturer drawings — a 1/8-inch miss here is a real problem on erection day.
We coordinate with the steel building manufacturer on package details, lead times, and delivery scheduling. Most pre-engineered packages run 6–12 weeks from order to delivery.
Building erected by experienced crews per manufacturer drawings — frames, purlins, girts, roofing, siding, and trim. Typical retail or small ag buildings erect in 1–3 weeks.
Doors, windows, overhead doors, insulation, interior framing, and mechanicals as scoped. Steel buildings finish as nicely as conventional builds with the right fit-out.
All required inspections, occupancy permits, and warranty documentation. Final walkthrough before you take possession.
Pre-engineered steel buildings for a range of uses — retail storefronts, agricultural outbuildings, equipment and machine storage, light commercial. Most of our work is in the 1,200–8,000 sq ft range, single-story, with clear-span interiors. Larger or more complex projects are within our scope but timelines and pricing scale accordingly.
The structural package itself usually runs 6–12 weeks from order to delivery. Site prep and foundation work happen during that lead time. Erection of a typical 2,000–6,000 sq ft building takes 1–3 weeks. Interior fit-out and finishing varies by scope. A typical end-to-end project from contract to occupancy is 3–5 months.
Highly variable based on size, height, interior fit-out, site conditions, and finish level. Basic agricultural shells start in the $25–$45 per square foot range. Retail or commercial buildings with full fit-out, conditioned interiors, and finished facades run significantly higher. We provide itemized estimates after a site walk and use-case discussion.
Yes. Engineered drawings come with the structural package; we handle local permitting, soil and code review, and inspection coordination. We work regularly with Otsego, Wright County, and surrounding municipal building officials on commercial and agricultural permits.
